We're BaaAack!

Jason and I have returned from an eleven-day belated honeymoon. We went to McGayhesville, VA and Washington D.C. Neither of us had been to either location and it all came about very suddenly in June. Jason was chosen to attend a technology conference in D.C. He emailed me about it and I suggested we try to make it our honeymoon. My parents had a week at a time-share of choice on hold for us as their wedding gift. So, after some phone-calling and waiting, Virginia was the locale for a week at a resort and D.C. was the locale for part of the following week.

It was AMAZING! The resort is located in the Southern end of the Shenandoah Valley. Gorgeous views at every turn and the trees were just beginning to show some yellow and even some vibrant reds here and there. We ran, hiked, toured vineyards, and just chilled in a condo. There will be more details and pictures later.

D.C. was a whirlwind. I don't believe I've walked that much in years--probably since I toured London and Paris in 1999. I fell in LOVE with D.C. There is just too much to do and see and I just wanted to absorb it all. Again, more pictures and stories will come in the next week. There is editing and sorting to do as I prepare for making our Storybook.

For now, one of my favorite shots.
