Summer Wrap-Up

Yikes! Yeah, it's here. I arrived home from Wisconsin late last night with my parents. They left early this morning and I couldn't sleep because I kept thinking about all of the things I need to do in the next few weeks in preparation for the 2008-2009 school year. Part of the anxiety is also because I'm still trying to do some of those summer things I love. I have jury duty on Wednesday, I don't love that, but it'll take some time away from school. I'm going to Schlitterbahn, a waterpark, with my friend Jason and his boys on Thursday. On Friday we're going to Fiesta Texas after my building team meeting, where I get my NEW laptop! Yeah! Then you will be updated with pictures from Wisconsin and other adventures.

Next week brings the annual student council meeting and lots of other things because at the end of the week I leave for St. Louis and Indiana, where I will go to a wedding and then spend a couple of days in "the Lou," as my friend Mandi calls it, before returning the day before school meetings begin.

Meetings begin on the 6th. Freshmen orientation is the 9th. Student council is responsible for it. Can you see where the anxiety falls? Leaving town isn't probably the best decision. I should stay here and get things done. Stay here and spend time with Jason and friends. But it's my friend Shel's wedding and I just think I'd forever regret not going to her wedding. So I'll be a bit stressed before and afterwards, but I will enjoy the time away as well. A last hurrah if you will.

Meetings beginning on the 6th also means I missing the NYG '10 meetings because they begin on the 6th as well. That's a huge bummer, but I NEED to be here. And I'm not absolutely sure I need to be at the first one since I wasn't there at the last first meeting. I'm looking foward to serving again...a little nervous about doing it alone this time, but the Lord will provide as He always does.

Well, enough rambling for me. I've gotten accomplished what I wanted to accomplish this morning and I'm going to finish unpacking at home and get in a swim workout today.

Pictures will be coming soon!

Wow! You are busy! I'm not too surprised, though. Maybe we can talk sometime in between all of your craziness. Enjoy your time with friends! :)
