MARRIED

Wednesday Night At Stonewerks--Site of Our First Date

How many girls does it take to put on a dress?

Ready for my close-up!

Mr. and Mrs. Jason Johnson

It was the most amazing, perfect day I could have asked for! The weather was windy, but sunny. I had a sunburn by the end of the night. But I really don't care! Meeting at the foot of the cross as broken, sinful people and knowing that Christ is the center of our relationship was awesome!

Seeing so many friends and family was awesome. It all went too fast, as I knew it would. I do have a lot of memories and have already been sent lots of pictures. I'm so excited to see them and remember again.

It was just amazing. That's the only way I can describe it right now.

He's arriving tonight...hopefully earlier than planned!!! I'm so excited right now!!! I just had to share. For those traveling to SA this weekend, have safe trips and I will see you soon!!!!!!!

Whew

Fun and productive are the only two ways to describe this weekend. It began with a shopping spree on Friday to get all of the wedding gifts for those helping us with the wedding. I've known all along what I wanted to get them, just had to do when the budget was ready for it.

Next came chips and queso at Stonewerks with Marissa and Bethany. Along with a little wine and a shared slice of key-lime pie. Supper of champions I would think.

Saturday Bethany and I were out all day working center-piece things and a few other errands. After that there was a small, impromptu bachelorette outing for me at Swig North. It was a TON of fun just to dance and have a little girl-time.

Sunday was the usual church service with the boys and lunch. From there I brought glassware up to the church where two dear friends are going to wash it for me. Then I was putting chairs out to see how exactly we should arrange them for the ceremony. Mr. Phitz, the Director of Operations pulled up and got it all take care of for me! Yea! Then getting the program covers reprinted took a little time. Why reprinted...well, the mock design was used with incorrect middle names. And despite three people proofing them through email, we didn't catch it. Sigh. But, if that's the worst thing, we're golden.

I got the marriage license this morning! Whew! The most difficult part was getting into the building due to construction.

So, it's all coming together. Jason arrives Wednesday night. I'm not working on Thursday and we already had Friday off for a San Antonio holiday.

Enjoy some pics.

Ready for some fun!

1 Week

Well, we are one week away! How does that feel? Surreal. One week from today I'll hopefully be wrapping up reception set-up. Friends and family will be arriving. Jason will have been here for over a day. So many things to look foward to. In some ways I'm enjoying the anticipation and I don't want it to end. I'm so looking forward to seeing friends and family and I KNOW it will go all too fast.

I become quite overwhelmed when I consider how many of my family and friends are able to attend. There are those who cannot attend and I will miss them immensely. But we'll carry on.

One week. The foot of the cross. Jason and I marry.

Easter Celebration~A Little Early

First, 9 days and I'm Mrs. Jason Johnson. Just in case ANYONE wasn't counting down. :)

Jason was here about two weeks ago for a three-day weekend. He was a trooper and spent Friday with me in Austin at our State Art competition. We left SA at 5 am and got home at midnight. It was exhausting, but we enjoyed helping out and my friends from around the state enjoyed meeting Jason immensely. He's endeared himself to them by serving as a door monitor and just helping move tables, and all sorts of other things. I had hoped we'd get done early enough to go out to eat in Austin and then drive back to SA. But by 7:30 I knew we were both too pooped to do anything but stop at Taco Cabana and then drive home.

We were also going to run in Race for the Cure, but we felt as though we'd run a half-marathon by the end of the day on Friday, so we decided to sleep. Which worked out well because I had accidently registered us for "Sleep In For The Cure." We could have run anyways, but our bodies decided otherwise. I just knew we'd be no good for the boys if we tried to run that morning on so little sleep and then pick them up.

The boys. It's so nice for them when they get to see Jason. They do miss him so much and it breaks my heart when they have to say good-bye. The big events for Saturday included getting them measured for their tuxes (9 days) and then dying Easter eggs! That was a ton of fun for all of us!

On Sunday we dropped Jason off at the airport and were not as teary as the last time. We were all actually more excited about there only being 2 1/2 weeks till the next visit and that visit means THE WEDDING!!! :-)

Enjoy some pics!

Welcome Logan Baumbach

Nina and Chris had their baby boy on April 2nd at 6:18 pm. He was 7 lbs. 15 oz. and 20 in. long. I'm so happy for them! And, if all goes well, they will all be at the wedding in 18 days!
